What was the big decision I was talking abut? It's official finally, I moved from my sleepy, safe hometown of Treviso (Italy) to the lovely, crowded, and crazy Paris (France). Not a big move in terms of distance, but a whole different culture and way of life; indeed, the adaptation is proving much difficult especially in the face of the little personal space available to everyone there. I'm renting a 25mq [sic] apartment in a beautiful and central area, but still the space/price ratio is astonishing for me. Another big, big problem is finding a (relatively) safe and affordable parking place to take my TF here, it is currently still in Italy and I miss it a lot, I miss the feeling of freedom that I had when driving top-down and listening to my music.
To stay in-topic, my job has still much to do with Java: I joined Progiweb, a small French company that specializes in ATG applications design and development. It's still too early to say something definitely positive or negative, but at least it seems that the problems I'll have to solve will be the same, just in a different language :-)
